u @ 50

This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP". This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42E2fAWM6rA

Bye Bye MW

I was just on the phone with my friend MW (whose name just so happens to be mine in Polonaise), and she mentioned she had a blog! I am such a nerd, so I said, OMG..What is it called! Tell me!! Tell me!!! Do you talk about me on your blog? I was hoping she'd brush my ego. But, instead she said, "Oh no. I have much more important things to blog about than YOU!" Haha..no surprise there. But, here's her link anyway! I'm excited to read it... http://thesmarmyrevolution.blogspot.com

So, MW is moving back to Oklahoma tomorrow! And, I'm going to miss her a ton. I think she's had enough of the brother jimmy's bar crawls, and is ready to go back to where she came from. But, it's been a good 5 or 7 years here, and I think she's had her fair share of the city. Her parents came out to help pack her up, and bring her back home. They had invited all of her close friends out to dinner with them at Carmines on the UWS - for one last hurrah - and it was also her mom's birthday. How sweet is this? - Her mom said, "Having MW come back home is the greatest birthday gift anyone could ever give me." Adorable. She's a charming woman. And, I think my eyes started to water up a touch (not sure who else at the table was a sucker). Anyway, it just shows you how special the bond is between a mother and a daughter. Or, parents and children for that matter. But, I'm getting side tracked...

MW's mom brought everyone these large baby blue goody bags. Inside were chocolates shaped in the state of Oklahoma, maps of Oklahoma, travel guides for Oklahoma City, pamphlets about why Oklahoma City is the greatest place to visit! You get the drift. Her mom gave us these things so we would all go out there and visit MW! Sweetest gesture ever. Truly charming woman...Oklahoma steals MW from the city, but invites the city to visit MW in Oklahoma.

MW will be missed. We'll need to arrange Eurotrip # 2 soon! :) XO

Signed up for Social Vibe

I just signed up for a social network called SocialVibe, introduced to me yesterday in a hot topic presentation by one of my co-workers. The deal is that you endorse specific advertisers and they will in return donate to the charity or vertical good cause of your choice.

SocialVibe gives you points if you do certain activities such as post a picture, link to your other social networking sites, post yourself as an endorser or your sponsor, get others to sign up, etc. Your profile page keeps a running tally of your points and has a counter for how much money your cause has raised through this program. The good old fashioned competitive spirit in you will like it. I chose the animal vertical as my good cause and right now I have Marc Jacobs and Juicy Couture helping me make some dinero for it. It's pretty neat if you want to check it out. http://www.socialvibe.com/main/my_sponsors/

Plus, you can post it to your myspace or facebook and make it look like you're a "do gooder" ;)

This Week's Highlight!

I feel a bit silly right now..still trying to "write" my blog, because I'm pretty sure I don't have any subscribers just yet. But...with a LITTLE extra effort, I'm sure that'll change. ;)

So, I know you're waiting for it. Right..? Right...? Here is it. This week, I discovered that March has five weeks! You know what that means? Instead of having one week off of reporting, I had 2 weeks off! You see, with the retail fiscal calendar, normally I have to spend 40 hours of my life every other week "reporting" and doing "findings" for each client. Yet, this week, I can wait until next week! Yay!!!!

Yes, I am a nerd now that I work at Morpheus. I "report" just like everyone else over here....ah...metrics.....

Please comment

I'm one for one...with one posting, and one comment. I'm hoping to keep up with this ratio. That being said, although I've said pretty much nothing so far, I'd like you to comment on my lack of creativity...or maybe my ability to remain completely mysterious, while at the same time (if you can actually call it this..), managing a blog. :)
